We loved learning about the history of different parts of the Yarra,it was very informative.Loved our female skipper, she was amazing to watch how she manoeuvred the boat into various places and we loved her commentary, she was witty !!!
Great view, I love the small balcony that I can be outside in the wind!
Great experience if it's your first time in Melbourne. Amazing view!!
It was enjoyable. We opted for the upstream and downstream tours. There was a half hour break between the two and the boat returns to the pickup point between them for the half hour and we needed to disembark for the duration of the break. There is a toilet on board and the seats are relatively comfy. Unfortunately the rain came down during the downstream tour so we couldn't get any good photos as the windows were covered in droplets but, that's Melbournes weather. All in all it was an enjoyable ride and we got to see Melbourne from a different perspective.
Nice weather great crew commentary
Overall a please experiance. There are complementry tea and copffe on board and teh crew are pretyy friendly
Gorgeous view and loved going at sunset. A bit crowded, but expected that!
very informative, nice cruise up and down the yarra

Amazing as always.... HOWEVER, please get your wardens to supervise properly at Philip island and stop people from using camera and trying to climb over barriers to get to the penguins!! There was so many just stood around talking together it was very disappointing and to be honest will put us off from going again because it breaks your heart!
The seating arrangement is not the best. Unless you're in the first couple of rows, you can't really see. And if someone stands up, you really can't see anything. It's pretty chaotic. I've done the same experience in Dunedin, NZ and it was way less chaotic.
We enjoyed the experience of seeing the penguins coming out of the sea but unfortunately, it was very cold that evening. The walk down was great on the boardwalk but it would have been better if drinks had been available especially as there was a cold wind blowing.
The whole experience was amazing and so well organised. The penguins are wonderful and we really enjoyed seeing the wildlife there. Just marred by the ignorance and rudeness of a few people who thought it was ok to video and take pictures!
Good experience, saw 2 penguins i think that penguinenparade is too much comercial for me. Phillip island in general is awesome
Accessibility was key and was handled perfectly! My mum has bad hips and needed a wheelchair to get to the viewing area. The staff were very helpful and friendly making this a great experience. It is also great to see the level of protection being maintained for these precious animals.
Penguin parade, Churchill Island and Koala conservation were all worth a visit. Could not see many penguins as expected. Churchill island has many activities to see and learn. The bundle ticket for 3 parks was a good deal. Might have been convenient to have tickets emailed than to get it on the app.
Very easy to use and discounted prices. Awesome experience watching the little beautiful penguins and learning so much about them.
This experience is perfect for
Very relaxing place to visit. Tickets were really easy to book.
It was fun and for a first time experience the atmosphere was phenomenal definitely will be back ...
That is very good I wish agine we want visit this place
The 3 parks pass made our trip very convenient, and the price is also a bit cheaper which is nice!

very informative, nice cruise up and down the yarra
Enjoyed the cruise. However due to high tide only could one way for 1 hour. Manager said has out request through for partial refund to headout. Expecting this back
We loved seeing the beautiful buildings and sites from the water view. The boat stopped halfway to pick up and drop off passengers. The entire ride on the boat was less than 2 hours.
The first hour down the South Yarra was calm and clearly informative. During the second hour, there were a number of passengers who were totally disinterested in the commemtary and proceeded to converse loudly amongst themselves! It might be an idea to make a comment before departure to be considerate of those who want to enjoy the whole experience!
The tour was informative. The boat was clean. Staff on the boat were friendly and helpful. The ticket booth employee was a grumpy man. But overall the tour was 10/10
Dave and crew were lovely and friendly. The views of Melbourne were awesome and commentary to support it taught us a lot about the city.
The Tour required you to disembark from the boad, wait 15 minutes and then return to the boat to complete. This was not communicated and if was, we would have not taken the tour. The issue is, that their is very little shade and only a small proportion of seating, so if you are with ederly (which we were) it made the experience uncomfortable. Not sure why this detail was not clearly indicated on either the ticket or the webpage. Otherwise everything else was good.
The cruise itself was fantastic. Great captain and commentator. The only criticism would be the organisation before embarking was bad. I had a QR code on my phone. I asked the guide about instructions and she ushered us to berth 2. At no stage did she say I needed to print off a ticket, it also doesn't say that on the email. Nearly missed the cruise because of this , it was a crazy few minutes. Really needs to be improved

Ticketing experience was stress free. Day was good, penguin parade was brilliant, loved the stories the rangers shared. Bus trip was smooth and I appreciated a mid way stop. The excusion offered everything you said in the tour guide. I would suggest that you emphasise to pack something warm- I didnt ( I may have missed that bit!) and ended up buying a nice warm blanket from the shop so now I have a lovely warm little blanket with penguins on it- very cute
It was a lovely day trip and as I like listening to the voice of nature and wildlife, it was definitely worth giving a shot. Thank you.
Our Guide and Diver Camile was very helpful, Hard a very good nowlegde and was so Kind and friendly!
Ver y cool experience, you probably don't get closer to wild penguins, wallabies, or koalas. On the down side, I think the tour should start earlier as some of the stops felt rushed.
Ticketing experience was very easy. The tour guide was amazing, so friendly from the word go, she spoke to every single person for a couple of minutes before we got on the bus. Made everyone feel very welcome. She was so good at explaining everything on the trip and gave us so many hints and tips to make the day even more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend. Fabulous experience.
Bob at the pinguin parade was great. The whole bus went to business class

A whole day in nature with breathtaking views of the ocean and coastal cliff and rainforest walks with wildlife encounters all together with lovely fellow tour guests and under the expert guidance of our tour guide and superb driver Marty! The morning coffee and lunchtime stops were excellent too. I'd do it all again tomorrow!

Expert guides share fascinating local insights and hidden gems, enhancing each stop with history and culture. The tour’s well-planned itinerary covers iconic landmarks, scenic routes, and lesser-known spots, ensuring a balanced blend of exploration and relaxation. Comfortable vehicles, small group sizes, and attentive service create a personalized experience. Whether you are a local or a visitor, this tour reveals Melbourne’s unique charm and beauty in an engaging, informative way. Highly recommended for any adventure seeker. An excellent journey for true enthusiasts.
An absolutely exceptional day along the spectacular Great Ocean Road. Our group was just ten people and it was fabulous having conversations with like minded travelers from all over the world. We also had koala, bird and kangaroo sightings! Our guide, Wayne, was wonderful and we loved that he did all the driving, allowing us to relax and enjoy! I highly recommend this tour!
Amazing day!! The Puffing Billy was so much fun. Reading reviews before we went, definitely sit on the station side on the train when you board, that side has the best views. The chocolate shop was nice but a tad overpriced but I think all independent shops are. Being Australian from interstate, I didn't really get much out of the sanctuary but the overseas visitors loved it. Would still recommend, it was a lovely day out.
Take your time- 3-4 days to do the Great Ocean Rd properly...these one day trips from Melbourne do not do it justice at all. there's so much to see and do that it'd be a shame to rush it and just see the 'big ticket tourist items'. Some of the less famous highlights for me were: *koalas at Kennett River *Tower Hill volcano between Warnambool and Port Fairy *Mait's Rest. We did a 4 day trip from Melbourne and really needed another 2 days as we missed the waterfalls and some other sites.
We were booked for February 27 for our Puffing Billy and Philip Island tour on Wine hop and coastal tours. 24hrs un advance we got a message about pickup time at 1400 hrs. We were a bit disappointed because a couple of previous reviews were not positive and had specifically mentioned the late pickup. But we were in for a pleasant surprise. John, our driver and guide welcomed us warmly. When the entire group was on board he explained to us how the tour is going to go. Made sure e everyone of us was comfortable. Helped us with photographs, lots of information on Australian wild life, and all in all made it an experience to remember. Thank you John and Wine hop for this excellent tour.
It is a wonderful trip. The tourist guide (Mars) was excellent in leading the trip. Her communication skills are very efficient. Puffing Billy is the only train worldwide that can put legs outside the carriage, and it is so fun. Philip Island Penguin Parade was lovely, and it is interesting to see small penguins. Just to wear more clothes!
Fantastic life changing experience, watching these little penguins waddle out the sea and into their nests at dusk. Left feeling happy and having experience nature at its best. Also enjoyed the visit to Moonlight sanctuary and feeding Kangaroos and Wallabies. Our guide and driver Dirk was knowledgeable, fun and made the trip more special. He spotted loads of wildlife and stopped the van for photos. Excellent trip!
Outstanding tour especially doing it in reserve. The best tour to do if you are visiting Melbourne. It gives you a wonderful perspective of both the farmlands and coastline. Small bus was excellent choice and Marty was exceptional and easy to spend the long day with.
I have read that some people pan this drive, due to slow drivers going at half the posted speed limit. My advice is back off and enjoy a leisurely, full appreciation of the vistas. We spent 3 nights along the great ocean road and could have taken another day, as there is so much to see and interesting things to do along the way.
It’s a long drive from Melbourne to the Twelve Apostles. We tried to do it in a day and failed. Lovely countryside, but the best bit for us was seeing koalas in the wild near the Kafe Koala at Kennett River.
We took 3 full days to casually cover (drive) the whole Great Ocean Road (GOR) trail at leisure pace- from Melbourne & back, seeing most of the attractions along the way. It is very easy to drive along the GOR but be prepared for long drives, lots of winding roads & many small rural side roads which one has to pass through some destinations. But there are many small towns pitstops for breaks/ food. The coastal scenes were very beautiful, so we're the views from the top ( attractions like Twelve Apostles , Razorback, etc). Definitely the GOR trail is a must do item when going yo Melbourne.
An amazing.experience. Ann was a great tour guide. She was not.only informative but very entertaining. Would highly recommend!
Puffing Billy was just a fun, somewhat nostalgic ride. The Healesville sanctuary is a gem and has such a worthwhile mission. The short time we had there went by quickly…I learned a lot and really enjoyed the animals. Thanks to Marty for being a great guide! The travel and Melbourne area tips are appreciated and I loved driving through the hills…much more scenic than the freeways/motorways!!
Appstles, regular stops and the tour guide and bus driver and also thw.rain forest
Our Great ocean road drive was frustraring. Full of international tourists who don’t seem to know how to drive We saw some driving on wrong side of the road And others just stopping in middle of the road we nearly crashed a couple times People getting out of cars taking photos so dangerous. Impossible to get any parks on sights. Most only accomodate a few vehicles definitely no room for caravan to park Camping spots impossible to find. Everywhere you go is packed with no parking. Nice view but not worth the drive. SA peninsulas a lot better lots of camping options and parking bays.
We had Jimmy as our guide on this reverse great ocean Highway tour. Jimmy is an awesome guide. He has lots of knowledge and has been doing this for a really long time. He got us ahead of the crowds so we saw the sights without the lines. We’d highly recommend this tour and if you get Jimmy even better.
Booked this tour based on Trip Advisor and yes it definitely did not disappoint! Went with my husband together with a small group in a comfortable van for the day. Trip was amazing, Chris was our tour guide and he was absolutely fun, brilliant, and keeps the whole trip exciting. We were initially planning to rent a car and do the trip on our own but we are soooo glad we booked this trip because Chris drives well, knows the best route, the best timings, and the best photo spots. Absolutely highly recommended!
The Great Ocean Road is one of the world's most beautiful natural coastal features. It runs from Apollo Bay to Port Campbell, a distance of 110 km (70 miles). This scenic route was built by veterans of the First World War. It's the world's longest war memorial. The Great Ocean Road has repaid its cost many times over, it's one of Australia's most visited tourist attractions.
Views are spectacular. Took lots of photos but none can capture the beauty and essence. Got to experience it in person. Chris is a fantastic guide and driver who goes all the way to ensure we have the full experience of the tour.
Venue as such for Great Ocean Road was good, travelling in a smaller bus was good but bumpers could have been better (taking bumps and bad surfaces better).
Had a great time. Lots of fun and the pick up was easy to find and on time. Great scenery and nice slow pace. Only issue was not having enough time to eat at the cafe stop. They couldn’t handle the amount of people in time for walking around to see the lake or shop in gift shop, just had to pick one.
Weather was not good with heavy shower during the day. Tour guide Jay is very informative, responsible. Everything was on time. That’s advantage of small group.
Marty was a brilliant host, he was knowledgeable and kept us all entertained. Wasn’t sure what to expect on this trip, but thoroughly enjoyed it! A full packed day exploring the coast and seeing the kangaroos and koalas in the wild. I was also lucky to share the trip with a great group of people too. I thought it was excellent value for money and a great day out.

Amazing trip,, kind and well-informed guide; a pity the mic on the bus did not work though. Also, a teeny bit chaotic sorting people into three different coaches. But it alk worked out perfectly in the end. Puffing Billy and the penguins are definitely well worth the time and money.
The guide John was fantastic. He was knowledgeable and really keen to give everyone the best experience possible. He went above and beyond from his photography skills to ensuring his passengers had a way to get home.
Our driver Phil was down to earth, full of info, prompt and got us in and set for the activities on the itinerary with no dramas :)
Ride with Puffing Billy was good, despite the rain. Animal "spotting" and the pinguins were also good. Gavin, the driver, had a lot of knowledge that he willingly shared.
The app showed pick up time 10:15 However the tour guide sent us a text message saying that pick up time 8:30 but i did't see the message…
Great weather, great sights and sweet guide.
To be honest I loved everything about it. It's went exactly as I expected. I should've brought a warmer jacket with me to the penguins though. I can't remember our guides name but he was really good and informative. I'm very glad that I did the tour and I would recommend it.
